Why do we need algorithm free social media?

The challenge

As a revolutionary social media brand – and an antidote to the algorithms and ruthless data mining of larger platforms – Vero wanted to solidify their place in contemporary culture. They asked us to come up with exciting partnerships and content across beauty and music.

The solution

In a digital world where other platforms censor and dictate the content that gets seen, we wanted to showcase and support creators themselves. We used our skills to showcase and help them to make content showing off their art and used VERO’s algorithm-free platform to showcase it, naturally.

We called on talented friends and colleagues for this project – collaborating with the likes of Princess Julia and Zandra Rhodes for beauty, and a whole host of bright young things in music.

Alongside beauty editorials we made 30 films championing these emerging musicians including Arlo Parks, KABBA and Amber Simone. The series was accompanied by exclusive interviews, editorials, and live performances.

The results

Working with such inspiring talent we ended up creating twice the amount of content agreed and clocked up over 4 million views on YouTube.

Across our Instagram, VERO content generated 36,764 likes and 612,243 total impressions organically.
